Quote of the Damn Day: Eddie Vedder

I'd like to be proud of my country. There are a lot of great people in this country and I meet people every day that I truly admire. But, on the other hand, there are also so many idiots in this country. We're one of the super powers, but what good does it do? We may have the biggest weapons, but sometimes I think the smallest brains control them.

Problem is that the people most impressed with the weapons invent excuses to use them.

And not a whole lot of experience, either. As nations go, we're definitely still teenagers. All muscle and hormones, not much control.

SB,
I like your quote. There's so much to love about the US and still so much to loathe.
I think somebody like Trump has the right ideas, but he keeps talking out of his ass lately. What's up with him? Maybe he drinks?
I do go for his ideas about restoring American industry and cutting down Chinese imports.
Anyway, I hope I didn't offend anyone, most of all you.
Luv u,
j.

I've been adoring that man since I was in college, and this is why. He's even on my ring tone.

I just wish it wasn't so true.

Ms. Moon,
Well said.

Drollgirl,
I'm with you about Trump. Fucker has all that money, and he can't even get a decent hair style. I don't want him deciding our foreign policy.

Guy in the silk taffeta dress,
Honesty is never offensive. You can say whatever you like here.

Marla,
Welcome. Thanks for reading and commenting. Please come back often.

Terena,
Clearly, you have excellent taste.

Christina,
I adore you MAS!

Big Mark,
That made me laugh. Thank you! I needed it this morning.

Love to all,

SB

I think that I am in my highly skeptical point about the country. I respect and trust the President who I believe is a man of great integrity. But the far right seems to be filled with dimwits and haters. And they are some loud mouths.

Syd,
Sadly, I am skeptical even of Obama. I can't say I feel good about any of them in Congress/office. Obama needs to stand up to the republicans more. He needs to grow bigger balls.
